Elka announced as ambassador to the Hope Project - an initiative of Care Careers Australia to educate & provide students with valuable experience of the sector.
2010 has started off full of joy for my husband Thomas and I as we are so happy to announce we are having a baby! I am now 5 months pregnant with our baby Whalan to be welcomed in June. I am still swimming, power walking and going to the gym and love the pregnancy glow. To be parents is one of the most rewarding adventures in life and we both look forward to this wonderful journey. Late February sees me in Sydney for the launch of Project/ABLE an initiative of Care Careers to educate and provide students with valuable experience of the sector, showing how they can use their passions and abilities to not only enable the lives of people with a disability but also enrich their own lives and careers along the way. I’m so proud to be part of such a great initiative in promoting the disability and community care sector which is vital to so many people throughout Australia. Please check out their website at CareCareers on http://www.carecareers.com.au/.
Australia day was a huge success once again and I feel so proud and humble to be a part of the Australia Day Council board. Every year our national pride is raised with the many activities organised by the Council and this year continued in that proud tradition with more Aussie flags and celebrations than ever! The new Swisse Vitamins advertising campaign is set to kick off on TV screens across Australia. I had such a great day shooting the new ad with the Swisse team once again and am so proud to be involved in promoting their brand. I am obviously enjoying their pregnancy!
June will see Thomas and I moving back to Australia for the foreseeable future, we look forward to making Sydney home!
I look forward to sharing even more and exciting updates with you this year and a continued relationship with my wonderful supporters: The Park Hyatt - Melbourne, Vodafone, Audi (absolutely love driving their Q5 whilst in Sydney), McDonald's - RMHC and of course the Harry M Miller Group. Wishing you positive power, Elka x
